Immigration Law

Anton is the founding partner of The Mertens Firm with more than thirty-five years of immigration law experience. Anton’s extensive experience and service have earned him many legal awards, including Georgia Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite recognition and Best Lawyers in America.

He has served several years as a section chair for various sections of the State Bar of Georgia and as President of the Mercer University School of Law Alumni Association. He is respected for his knowledge of the law and commitment to providing an outstanding client experience.

Anton is fluent in Dutch and French and is admitted to practice law in Georgia. He is a graduate of Mercer University and earned a J.D. from Mercer University School of Law. A resident of Atlanta, he has been married to his wife, Margaret, for 34 years and has two adult children.

He is a leader in the Atlanta community, serving on many boards, and is a frequent lecturer and author of many published articles.
